Russia is at war, the economy is collapsing, but at least science is progressing. NPR news explains that "Derek Hennen, an entomologist who completed his Ph.D. at Virginia Tech in 2020, discovered a millipede species and named it in Swift's honor."

This discovery was found along with 16 other new species of Twisted-Claw Millipedes from Appalachia. Hennen is said to name the millipede after Taylor Swift as a thank you, as her music got him through some difficult times.

Hennen Officially named the millipede, "Swift Twisted-Claw Millipede."

The world is in chaos, but the little things like this can bring a small amount of joy or criticism to make your day that more interesting!

See how NATO has increased it's threat alert to 300,000 military members from only 40,000.
